TERMS OF USE

USING TOPPL

These terms apply when you use the Toppl app or Toppl.club. By using Toppl, you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Toppl.

You must be at least 13 years old. If the law where you live requires a higher age to agree to these terms, a parent or legal guardian must agree for you.

YOUR ACCOUNT

Toppl uses Sign in with Apple. Keep your device and Apple account secure, provide accurate information, and do not let another person use your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your Toppl account has been misused.

PRIVATE BOOKS AND INVITES

Books are shared spaces. Current members can see a book’s complete history, including entries created before they joined and historical attribution for former members. A valid invite code reveals a limited preview and may allow a person to join, so share codes only with people you trust.

Book hosts and members are responsible for deciding who belongs in their group. Leaving or being removed ends future access, but does not erase shared history.

YOUR CONTENT

You keep ownership of the names, records, attempts, votes, challenges, stakes, and other content you create. You give Toppl a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, process, copy, and show that content only as needed to operate, secure, improve, and support the service.

Only add content you have the right to share. You are responsible for your content and for the effect it may have on other members of your book.

CHALLENGES, STAKES, AND SAFETY

Toppl helps friends track goals; it does not supervise activities, verify results, enforce stakes, award prizes, or guarantee anyone’s safety. Do not create or accept a challenge or stake that is dangerous, humiliating, coercive, non-consensual, illegal, or beyond a participant’s ability.

No real-money wagering or gambling is allowed. Stop an activity and seek appropriate professional help if there is a risk to anyone’s health or safety.

BE DECENT

Do not use Toppl for harassment, threats, hate, impersonation, exploitation, unlawful conduct, spam, infringement, attempts to access another person’s account, or interference with the service. Do not post sensitive information about another person without permission.

Report unsafe or abusive content to hello@blankslateapps.com. Include enough detail for us to locate the book or content, but do not send passwords, Apple credentials, or active invite codes.

HOSTING SUBSCRIPTIONS

Joining a friend’s book and using your personal book may be free. Hosting additional or larger books may require a paid plan. The purchase screen shows the current price, billing period, plan limits, and any trial before you confirm.

Subscriptions are charged to your Apple account and renew automatically unless cancelled before the current period ends. Apple manages billing, cancellation, and refund requests. Deleting Toppl or your Toppl account does not cancel an Apple subscription.

PLAN CHANGES

Plan limits may restrict the number or size of books you can host. If a plan expires or you move to a smaller plan, existing members and history may remain while affected hosted books become read-only or new invitations are limited. Toppl will show the choices available before a downgrade takes effect where possible.

MODERATION AND SUSPENSION

We may remove content, restrict features, suspend an account, or end access when reasonably necessary to protect people, investigate abuse, comply with law, or enforce these terms. Where appropriate, we may ask a book host or member to resolve a group issue first.

SERVICE AVAILABILITY

We may change, interrupt, or discontinue parts of Toppl. We work to keep the service reliable, but it is provided as available and may sometimes be delayed, unavailable, or contain errors. Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose.

RESPONSIBILITY

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Toppl is not responsible for injuries, disputes, losses, or consequences caused by user-created activities, claims, votes, challenges, or stakes. Nothing in these terms limits rights or remedies that cannot legally be limited, including applicable consumer rights.

CHANGES AND CONTACT

We may update these terms as Toppl changes. We will update the date above and provide additional notice for material changes. Continued use after an update means the revised terms apply, where permitted by law.
