PRIVACY POLICY

WHAT WE COLLECT

When you sign in, Apple may give us an account identifier, your name, and your email or private relay email. You also choose a Toppl display name, generated handle, profile mark, units, and notification preferences.

We store the private-book information needed to run the app: book names and memberships, invite metadata, records, attempts, witnesses, votes, challenges, objectives, contributions, win and loss stakes, rules, motions, and activity history. Values you enter may describe fitness activity, but Toppl does not access Apple Health or HealthKit.

If you host a paid book, we receive subscription product, status, renewal, and expiry information. Our service providers also process basic device, app, network, request, and error information to operate and secure Toppl.

HOW WE USE IT

We use this information to sign you in, sync your books, calculate records and challenge results, run votes and governance, enforce hosting-plan limits, restore purchases, prevent abuse, troubleshoot problems, and answer support requests.

WHO CAN SEE BOOK CONTENT

Current members can see their book and its complete history, including entries created before they joined and historical entries attributed to former members. Leaving or removal ends future access, but does not currently erase that historical attribution.

A person with a valid invite code can see a limited preview, such as the book name and current membership count, before joining. There is no public feed, public search, discovery system, or public leaderboard.

SERVICES THAT HELP RUN TOPPL

Apple supports Sign in with Apple and App Store payments. Supabase provides authentication, database hosting, server functions, storage, and operational logs. RevenueCat validates purchases, manages entitlements, and provides subscription analytics. A website host may process standard access logs when you visit Toppl.club.

NO DATA SALES OR ADS

Toppl does not sell or rent your personal information, run advertising SDKs, or use your information for targeted advertising.

DEVICE STORAGE AND SECURITY

Toppl keeps an account-scoped offline copy on your device so the app can load reliably. Signing out prevents another account from using that copy, but does not itself remove the app’s local files. Removing Toppl from the device removes its local app data.

We use access controls designed to keep each book limited to its members. No online service can promise perfect security, so please protect your device and do not share active invite codes publicly.

HOW LONG WE KEEP IT

We keep account information while your account exists. Shared book history may remain after a member leaves so the book continues to make sense. Billing, fraud-prevention, security, operational, and backup records may remain for as long as reasonably needed or required by law and our service providers.

YOUR CHOICES

You can edit your profile and app settings, leave books where permitted, export a book summary, and manage an Apple subscription from your App Store account. You may contact us to ask about access, correction, or deletion of your account information.

Because book entries are shared with other members, some history and attribution may remain visible in a book after you leave or request deletion. We will explain what can be removed or de-identified when we process your request.

ACCOUNT DELETION AND SUBSCRIPTIONS

To request account deletion, email hello@blankslateapps.com. We may need to verify that the account is yours. Deleting Toppl or your Toppl account does not automatically cancel an Apple subscription; subscriptions must be managed separately through Apple.

CHILDREN

Toppl is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact us so we can investigate.

INTERNATIONAL PROCESSING

Toppl and its service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Those countries may have different privacy laws. We use service providers and safeguards appropriate to the services they perform.

CHANGES

We may update this policy as Toppl changes. We will update the date above and provide additional notice when a change materially affects how we handle personal information.
